Cockerels, dragons, acorns ...

 
Several stories were inspired by emblems in Laugharne -  including the golden cockerel and the red dragon on various weather vanes in the town . The sign of an acorn on the side of a wall also made an appearance, for in Carmarthenshire the acorn is specially associated with Merlin and it could therefore be seen as magic.
